About the Collections
The collections consist of photos of local (Owen Sound) World War I fighter ace, Billy Bishop, Alexander Graham Bell, members of the Aerial Experiment Association, the aircraft they designed and built, and Bell's tetrahedral kites. These were reproduced for us by the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, Baddeck, N.S., and the U.S. Library of Congress, Washington D.C.

This is supplemented with an interesting video, reproduced for us by the National Archives of Canada, with the kind authorization of the Department of National Defence, of the February 23, 1959 50th anniversary commemorative flight of Silver Dart II.

Poster collection of World War I and II combat aircraft. Models of the A.E.A's Silver Dart, and World War I aircraft. Historically interesting documentary videos, and 1930-40 vintage aviation movies. Aviation artist's prints.

There are approximately 50 objects in the collections.
